We are seeking a fluent and passionate Tamil Guide to teach Tamil language and culture to our students. The ideal candidate will have native or near-native fluency in Tamil, a deep appreciation for Tamil heritage, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that connect children to their linguistic and cultural roots.

Responsibilities

Teach Tamil language to Primary and Elementary students through engaging, interactive lessons
Develop age-appropriate curriculum that includes spoken Tamil, reading, and writing
Create a rich language environment with songs, stories, poetry, and cultural activities
Assess student progress and maintain records of language development
Integrate Tamil instruction with school values and Montessori principles
Share aspects of Tamil culture, traditions, literature, and festivals with students
•Collaborate with classroom guides to support integrated learning
Communicate with families about language learning goals and progress
Participate in school events, cultural celebrations, and professional development

Required Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Tamil (speaking, reading, and writing)
Bachelor’s degree in Tamil, Education, or related field
Experience teaching Tamil to young children preferred
Understanding of language acquisition in early childhood
Strong communication skills in both Tamil and English
Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Montessori philosophy
