We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Montessori Elementary Lead Guide to inspire and guide children ages 6-12. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Cosmic Education and be skilled at nurturing children’s intellectual curiosity, moral development, and sense of social responsibility during this critical plane of development.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Montessori Elementary curriculum including Cosmic Education, Great Lessons, and integrated studies
  • Present engaging lessons that spark imagination and inspire independent research
  • Guide students in collaborative projects and individual exploration
  • Maintain detailed observation records and track academic progress
  • Foster moral development, social awareness, and community responsibility
  • Create a prepared environment that supports both individual and group work
  • Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth
  • Organize Going Out experiences and connect learning to the wider world
  • Collaborate with co-guides and specialists
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school community

Required Qualifications

  • AMI or AMS Montessori Elementary (6-12) certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Elementary Guide
  • Deep knowledge of Cosmic Education and the developmental characteristics of the second plane child
  • Strong subject knowledge across mathematics, language, sciences, history, and geography
  • Excellent facilitation and mentoring skills
  • Ability to inspire curiosity and independent thinking
