1.Where is Brixton House located?

It is located in the heart of Chennai on Alagappa Road, Vepery. Just 3 kms from Nungambakkam. The Museum, Nehru Park and Connemara Library also falls within a 3 km radius.

2. What are the classes and facilities offered?

Brixton House campus includes a well-equipped play area, an inspiring art area, and a lush lawn for the little ones to explore and go on nature walks. Just what would make them comfortable and happy.

3. When will the registrations start?

Brixton House has a rolling admission process and accepts registrations throughout the academic year.

4. What is the admission process?

Parents must fill in the enquiry form online or pick up an enquiry form from the campus and hand over the filled in form in person, following which they will be invited for a meeting with our Primary Head for further details.

5. What are the age requirements for the first year of Montessori?

Your child must be 2.5 years of age as on 31st March.

6. How many semesters do you have in a year?

We have two semesters in an academic year. Semester 1 is from June to October. And Semester 2 is from November to April.

7. What are the timings of the school?

Timings are as follows:

Elementary Montessori – 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

Ages 4 to 6 yrs. – 8:30 am to 2:00 pm

Ages 2.5 to 4 yrs. – 9:30 am to 12:15 pm

We have also added a special section for ages 2+ who are willing to take on the challenge of being in school. The timings are from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm (2 to 2.5 yrs.).

8. What is the student-teacher ratio?

The student-teacher is kept at an ideal ratio of 15:1 at Brixton House. This enables us to give individual attention where needed and guide the little ones to reach their full creative potential for their age.

9. What aspects of safety have been considered?

Safety of our children is our topmost priority. All systems and processes are in place to ensure their safety in the school premises. Students are always monitored in every area. Teachers and other staff ensure safety in classrooms, outdoors, field trips and during school events. We have cameras within the campus and a watchman at all times.

10. What are the languages that would be available at school?

Our Montessori educators are mindful that students may communicate in their mother tongue and we encourage the same till they are comfortable. English is the medium of instruction. Language learning at Brixton House includes Tamil as Second Language and Hindi as Third Language.
